Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") are an agreement between you and NH Dating ("we", "us"), the volunteer-run community made up of the website at dating.nhdiscord.com and the NH Dating Discord server and bot (together, the "Service").

By applying, logging in or taking part in the Service you agree to these Terms, the Rules and the Privacy Policy, which are part of these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

• You are at least 18 years old.
• You can legally agree to these Terms.
• You live in or near New Hampshire and are interested in meeting people here.
• You have not been removed or banned from NH Dating before.
• You have never been convicted of, or pleaded guilty or no contest to, a sexual offense or a violent crime, and you are not required to register as a sex offender anywhere.
• You follow Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines.

NH Dating is free. There are no subscriptions, premium features, boosts, tips or payments of any kind, and there never will be. We will never ask you for money or payment details.

You may not use the Service to sell anything, ask for money, advertise, or for any commercial purpose.

You use NH Dating through your Discord account. You are responsible for keeping it secure and for everything done with it. Discord is a separate company; we don't control it and aren't responsible for it.

Your application must be truthful, about you, and kept up to date. We may accept or reject any application for any reason or no reason, and we don't have to explain why.

If you're accepted, you agree to show a valid government photo ID to a member of the verification team in a private channel to confirm your age. It is only viewed, never stored, and is deleted right after, as described in the Privacy Policy. If you don't complete the check, or it fails, you may be removed.

You are placed in channels based on your answers. Channels with men and women are kept one to one, so you may have to wait in a queue. A seat in those channels is lost after a day without talking in them, and you can rejoin the queue.

We don't promise you a seat within any amount of time, or any number of conversations or matches. We may change how channels, queues and seats work at any time.

You agree to follow the Rules at all times, everywhere in the Service, and in private messages with people you met through it. In particular, you will not:

• Harass, threaten, stalk, intimidate or discriminate against anyone.
• Post or send sexual content to anyone who didn't clearly ask for it, or post sexual content in any channel.
• Post or share anything involving a minor in a sexual way, which we will report to the authorities.
• Share anyone's private information, images, profile or messages without their permission.
• Ask anyone for money or anything of value, run a scam, or offer or ask for sex for money.
• Impersonate anyone, use fake photos, or lie about your age, gender or anything else on your application.
• Use bots, scrapers or other automated tools on the Service, or try to get around the queue, roles or permissions.
• Break any law.

A match only happens when both people agree. Once matched, you can see each other's profiles and choose a private channel in the server or Discord direct messages.

Private match channels are visible to staff so there is a record if something goes wrong. Direct messages are between you and the other person on Discord, and we can't see or moderate them, but you can report conduct in them to staff.

You keep ownership of what you write and post. You give NH Dating permission to store and display it within the Service, only as needed to run it. You are responsible for your content and promise you have the right to post it. We may remove any content at any time.

We review applications and check age, but we do not run criminal background checks, verify identities beyond age, or check anything else members tell you. We can't guarantee how any member will behave online or in person.

You are responsible for your own safety. Meet in public places, tell someone you trust where you're going, arrange your own transportation, and never send money. You take part in any communication or meeting at your own risk.

Staff may warn, mute, limit, unmatch, remove or ban anyone, and delete any application or content, at any time and for any reason, including breaking these Terms or the Rules. You can leave at any time by leaving the server and deleting your application.

The Service is provided free, "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty of fitness for a particular purpose, availability, accuracy or that you will find a match. The Service may change, pause or end at any time.

To the fullest extent the law allows, NH Dating, its owner, staff and volunteers are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss or harm arising from your use of the Service, from the conduct of any member online or offline, or from content posted by others.

Because the Service is free, our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to zero dollars, except where the law does not allow that limit.

You agree to defend and hold harmless NH Dating, its owner, staff and volunteers against any claims, losses or costs (including reasonable legal fees) that come from your use of the Service, your content, your conduct with other members, or your breaking these Terms or any law.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Hampshire, without regard to conflict of law rules. Before bringing any claim, you agree to contact us and try to resolve it informally for at least 30 days. Any dispute that can't be resolved informally will be handled only in the state or federal courts located in New Hampshire, and you agree to their jurisdiction.

NH Dating is an independent community. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Discord Inc. or the State of New Hampshire.

We may update these Terms. The effective date at the top shows the latest version. For important changes you will be asked to agree again the next time you update your application. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept it.

If any part of these Terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies. Not enforcing a part of these Terms doesn't mean we give up the right to. These Terms, the Rules and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and NH Dating about the Service.
